“From being the first tournament series that provides caddie turned pros an opportunity to play to building diverse collaborations — we look forward to exciting times for golf ahead.”
As we enter the fourth year now of an effort that started on the Misa Course by six golfers — five years ago, we have grown and are thankful to Golfers, Clubs, Patrons, our teams and well wishers who have been a part of the journey.
While we have a long way to go, it is heartening to see three tournaments happen on the same day between Assam & Meghalaya. Despite this, The BORBHAG Cup had 97 golfers play this year — showing there is ample space and interest.
Our vision is to build, and bring the best golfers to states of the North East as well as provide professionals from the region opportunity to compete on national and international platforms. Golf can act as a unique bridge for diplomacy, tourism, and business including with the South East Asia region and Japan.
In closing, I reiterate the importance of PARTNERSHIPS. Clubs, courses, and professional bodies from across the country must come together and build an ecosystem that can take golfing to the next level.
“It is an honour to be a part of the BORBHAG Cup as a sponsor. I thank the BORBHAG family for inviting us to be part of such a well organised event and for your dedication to promoting sports within the tea growing areas of Assam. It's inspiring to see the spirit of competition thriving alongside the rich heritage of tea.”
“It was truly a pleasure being associated with 'The BORBHAG Cup' as a sponsor. The event was exceptionally well organised, offering a perfect blend of sport, meaningful conversations, and high-quality networking. The warmth and hospitality extended by the BORBHAG team made the experience even more memorable.”
